Auction #364

NINE “PHILATELIC SYMPHONIES” AT THE HEINRICH KOEHLER AUTUMN AUCTION

Nine is an auspicious number, and not only for lovers of classical music, often being associated with the absolute highlights of artistic creation and the completion of numerous masterpieces (“Beethoven’s ninth”). The upcoming 365th Heinrich Koehler auction, which will take place from 25 to 30 September 2017 in Wiesbaden, is an example of this in a philatelic context. This is because, just as with the nine symphonies, Germany’s oldest stamp auction house presents an equally rich and exquisite range of material in an amazing group of nine catalogues, of which seven are ‘special’ catalogues!
